The study of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic has been and continues being of interest to the scientific community worldwide, especially the effects on the health of population. This article aims to analyze the impact of the pandemic on the mental health status of the Andalusian working population. A quantitative analysis has been performed by bivariate exploration and segmentation analysis using the CHAID algorithm of the data from the Social Survey 2020: Habits and living conditions of the andalusian population during the state of alarm conducted by the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia (IECA, 2020). The main results show that the worsening of the mental health status of the Andalusian working population is closely related to the perceived risk of loss of income and employment, with groups that were already particularly vulnerable being the most affected, such as young people, service sector employees and women, who, regardless of their occupation, are more likely to have felt depression during this period.
